DOWNLOAD FEDORA 17 ALPHA

Fedora 17 Alpha is available and distributed as a DVD and Live CD desktop installer, with a choice of desktop environments Gnome 3.4, KDE SC 4.8, XFCE and LXDE, for 32-bit architecture and 64-bit.
 

These new features are brought Fedora 17 Alpha:

     Linux kernel 3.3.0 RC3;
     GNOME 3.4 Beta 1;
     KDE 4.8 SC;
     Multitouch support;
     PackageKit already integrated;
     Automatic dependency generation KDE Plasma;
     SSSD autofs integration;
     SSSD-Sudo integration;
     The GIMP 2.8;
     Added Wallaby;
     The addition of "deny ptrace" to SELinux;
     systemd now run in / tmp;
     Added Non-Uniform Memory Alignment Daemon (numad);
     OpenJDK is now the default Java Runtime Environment;
     IPA updates to version 3, added support for SELinux management, Active Directory domain, and the manager of SSH public keys;
     Configurator tools added new fonts;
     Haskell Platform updated to version 2011.4, with support for GHC 7.0.4;
     Boost has been updated to version 1:48;
     OpenStack now using libguestfs and Qpid.

     3 April 2012 - Fedora 17 Beta;
     May 8, 2012 - Fedora 17 final.
